Welcome to all things Eco...
Well, this is really exciting. I should introduce myself, I am Kaya. Kaya I am, no I musn't turn this into a Dr Seuss book. This is the Eco Page. I bet you already gathered that... I am the chairperson, not A chairperson THE chairperson of an Eco Group and that I think is pretty fun. And sexy, I suppose. YAY! Go Eco. Reduce! Reuse! Recycle...
Being Eco, isn't what you think it is, unless of course you think it is the most brilliant thing in the world since Random Bananaz. Which incidentally IS the best thing in the world, hopefully you yourself recycle at home... If not, the pixies will come to get you... And take out your television sets, and leave a box for you... Television is over rated these days anyway, AND it contributes to carbon emmisions. There are things that can be done to make life a lot easier, get solar panels, fix them too your roof and wait for the good old sunshine to warm them up so you can have a shower. Or go onto the internet using a lap top or computer, powered by a wind turbine, mini wind turbine of course, and look at Random Bananaz, which you are doing now. Ha ha, got you there.So yeah, getting a solar panel or washing out a can and putting it in a recycle bin are just some of the things you can do, infact they are the least you can do. I bet by 2020 we will have cut down our carbon emmisions by a half, if everyone does their bit. It certainly makes you feel better that instead of more tree's being cut down, the weather document you just printed and no longer need can be sent away to a special paper place where they re-pulp it and get out all the ink and stuff to make more paper. It's really cool... That's all I can think of for now. I shall write more things if I can think of it next time I'm here (:24/5/09.
Recently...
You know those lights, the ones that you leave on during the day? Then they recharge and at night when you fancy a walk down the path to see what's going on at the end of it, you can see. How cool is that?
I totally wanna get some for myself but unfortunately, I haven't got a drive to put them on so yeah, it would be amazing, if you would get them, think of the MONEY! it would save you, instead of turning on as many lights as possible so you can see what's going on, that is if you don't have an outside light, you can use these things. They're great...
